An Ohio man, Samuel Hochstetler, from the Amish community in Rutland, Ohio, was arrested and charged with the murder of 28-year-old Rosanna Kinsinger, authorities say.

On March 13, residents of the Amish community had not seen the victim that day, which was quite unusual. Concerned, that night, a member of the community went to Kinsinger’s home along Dye Road and found her dead before calling 911.

Upon arrival, investigators suspected foul play and the preliminary autopsy report was inconclusive. Nevertheless, authorities issued search warrants, followed up on several leads, and witness testimonies that led them to identify Hochstetler as a suspect in connection to the homicide.

On May 5, the defendant was interviewed, arrested and charged with Kinsinger’s murder before being incarcerated at the Gallia County Jail.

This case was such a tragedy to those who knew Rosanna. She was a beloved individual in her community. Detectives have worked around the clock searching for answers and were able to get those answers. Hopefully this investigation helps bring some closure to the victim’s family and on behalf of the Sheriff’s Office we offer our deepest condolences,” said Meigs County Sheriff Scott Fitch reported WSAZ.
